We arrived in Rotterdam at the nearby cruise terminal, and were recommended to take a water taxi to the city centre. They are situated in front of the Hotel New York, and are reached by turning right as you exit the terminal. The taxis service a circular route around the city, taking you to the centre and the observation tower.
The ride is thrilling, as the water taxis are almost like fast speedboats in the open river until you enter the sheltered harbour. The views are also great from the boat as you ride through the river and harbour. It's a good alternative to walking over the bridge to the centre, and a nice way to arrive in the city.

coolste Art der Fortbewegung in Rotterdam: schnell und mit atemberaubenden Ansichten der Stadt. Die Stadt vom Wasser aus zu erleben ist einfach super und unser Käpt´n Henk war mit allen Wassern gewaschen. Ein Top-Erlebnis!

What a great service nice friendly staff, if you are on a cruise ship forget the shuttle and get the water taxi great fun and get off at centrum then ten minutes to the fantastic market.

Nice little station for the water taxis with a indoor waiting area and helpful member of staff on hand. Was a rainy day so great to wait in side before the taxi arrived.
