The sailing trip with Jouke in Cornwall & Devon was great fun! 🙂 Very nice crew, great scenery, beautiful coastal towns, enough time for sightseeing and very tasty food! I can't believe we saw dolphins four times 🙂

We hebben een geweldige week gehad op de Cherokee met Jouke (schipper) en Lise (bootvrouw en kokkin). Zeilvakantie rond de Shetland Eilanden met als hoogtepunt Fair Island. Zoals te verwachten was het weer niet alleen zonneschijn, maar juist de wind en regen maakten de zeiltocht fantastisch! Jouke is een zeer ervaren schipper, dat merk je aan alles. Lise houdt de boel verder in de gaten en heeft ons perfect verzorgd. Het eten was geweldig!
Zeker tot ziens voor een nieuwe zeiltocht!

Jongensdroom uitgevoerd samen met Jouke, Lotte en Ernst en 4 anderen. Fantastische ervaring. De goede voorbereiding, de gastvrijheid en natuurlijk de overtochten zelf. "Beetje" zeeziek snel vergeten. En Rotterdam in de nacht vanaf het water, magistraal.

It was a fantastic sailing trip over a beautiful sea with tranquil Shetland islands. Impressive landscape, birds, sheep, and hardly any people. Great to get completely immersed in nature. The ship is very complete and practically furnished, fine cabins and two showers with hot water. And everything works! The ship sails firmly on the waves, very well in all winds. Skipper Jouke is always in a good mood and cheerfully directs the crew. Great meals by a dedicated boat buddy Lise. In short, very successful and to be continued!

Samen met mijn vriend boekte ik de reis "eiland hoppen in Noorwegen". Dit zal altijd een reis zijn om bij te blijven. Wat ongelofelijk mooi en goed georganiseerd. De schipper, Jouke, zat elke avond druk de route uittezoeken. Waar brengt de wind ons, welke plekjes zijn het mooist, en wat een mooie plekjes hebben we gevonden.
+ het eten was goed
+ de sfeer was leuk
+ ik heb enorm veel gelachen
+ goed gezeild!

During the last years, we have been sailing with the Lemmer family on the Baltic and North Sea and the Atlantic nine times already, six times with Jouke, the most skilled and experienced skipper we know, besides Ton, his father 😉. We have been sailing in rough seas but also on calm waves. Amazing, how well Jouke calculates when there will be the right moment (wind direction and force, current etc.) for setting sails. And he knows of course every screw on his boat which is in a very good shape. This year we sailed along the Norwegian coast including the Sognefjord with good winds, stunning views, nice harbors and anchorages, some rain, and not to forget the pontoon saunas. Lotte was a great, great mate, cook & hiking expert of Norwegian nature. Special thanks to Lotte! We highly recommend Jouke and his crew for the combination of an adventurous & relaxed time.

Wat een heerlijke zeiltrip hebben wij gemaakt met de Cherokee van Madeira naar de Azoren. De Atlantische weersomstandigheden met schitterende uitzichten, begroetingen van dolfijnen, het meelopen van de wachtdiensten, het geheel maak het tot een intense belevenis. Kapitein Jouke is een vriendelijke, ervaren schipper met een fijne crew die ervoor zorgt dat je het aangenaam hebt aan boord en de reis in teamverband wordt volbracht.

I cannot say enough about the operation Jouke is running. A sailing trip with Offshore Yacht Chater is not a luxury excursion sipping mai tais on deck, it is an opportunity to sail alongside and learn from a knowledgeable, calm, and competent captain and crew. I had the opportunity to join a sailing from Rotterdam, Netherlands to Inverness, Scotland and especially recommend booking a trip that includes sailing through the night.
