The old town of Schiedam is a different story. Instead of having canals like Amsterdam, they have old ports called "Havens." The old houses are arranged around these ports, and they look amazing. There are many museums that tell the history of this city, as well as markets that are breathtaking.

This large museum is housed in an old distillery, where you'll learn everything there is to know about the production of this drink in Schiedam. This town also experienced some significant events in the past, such as train accidents and other troubles. Famous people also came from Schiedam, such as a saint named Lidwina. Schiedam is a town with a unique history and a distinct character from other cities in the Netherlands. If you love old things and unusual crafts, you should definitely visit.
