My wife and I went on the Texel Island tour with Dutch Tours. Eva was our guide and she was extremely sweet, informative, and accommodating. Her expertise and deep understanding of Texel Island was a joy to listen to as we drove from one attraction/destination to another on the island. She gave us a memorable experience outside of the city and showed us a completely different side of the Netherlands.

Wir hatten Dienstag eine wunderschöne Insel Tour auf Texel verbracht, die über Dutch Tours Angeboten wurde. Das Angebot, Zeit draußen in der Natur zu verbringen, hat uns sehr angesprochen, weswegen wir diese Tour gebucht.
Bei diesem Ausflug waren wir zu zweit + Guide unterwegs, was das ganze einfach sehr persönlich gemacht hat. Leonie, die uns durch den Tag begleitet hat, war super lieb und die Chemie hat einfach auf Anhieb gestimmt. ? Sie ist auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen und war sehr kompetent. Für Getränke und leckere Snacks, war die ganze Zeit gesorgt.
Der Tag war einfach super abwechslungsreich gestaltet. Am Anfang waren wir nach einer kurzen Fährenfahrt, etwas in Den Burg bummeln, wo man sich auch in einem der kleinen Cafés für einen Kaffee niederlassen konnte.
Danach sind wir weiter gezogen, um am Wattenmeer wandern zu gehen und haben dabei Wildvögel mit einem Fernglas beobachtet. Diese Ruhe und die frische Luft der Nordsee einzuatmen, ist wirklich Balsam für die Seele.
Ein super schönes Highlight und auch Tourabschluss war das rausfahren mit dem Boot zu den Dünen, wo man die niedlichen Seehunde beobachten konnte. ?❤️

Es war bis jetzt eine der besten Touren, die wir von Amsterdam aus gemacht haben. Wir können es mit besten Gewissen weiterempfehlen und würden jeder Zeit wieder eine Tour über Dutch Tours buchen. ?

Eva was an absolutely amazing host for the day. Our tour of the park and the private Van Gogh collection at the park was educational and relaxing for us and even for our 13 year old daughter. It truly felt more like a day out with a good friend that happens to be an expert in the outskirts of Amsterdam. I would highly recommend this small tour company for anyone interested in having an authentic fun and educational Dutch experience in the Netherlands.

We really enjoyed the day with Eva. The pickup spot for the tour was in a great, easy to find, uncongested area. Eva greeted us and the other couple on the tour with a smile and welcome when she arrived. The van was very comfortable and a great ride. We never felt uncomfortable during entire ride to the camp and back from. Eva was a wonderful hostess and during the ride out to the camp, told us family stories of her grandparents and father having to hide. Her stories were nicely paced and just amazing. We are also grateful that her grandparents and father survived so she could be here to tell us the stories.

When we arrived at the camp, which is now mostly a Dutch military base or part of a prison, she was still a gracious hostess. She made sure we understood what type of camp it was, concentration (work camp) as opposed to an extermination which were largely in Poland. She helped us to fully understand what happened there and made sure our expectations were correct for what it was. Eva was patient with us, told us to take all the time we needed and ask her if we had any questions.

We fist visited the museum, which was intense even for someone who is a history buff like one of us is. It was intense for both of us. It has a wonderful historical presentation but be prepared, I'm going to say it was intense one more time here. When we were done at the museum, Eva took us out to the barracks buildings and the Children's Memorial. This is really, something else-I don't know how else to describe it. There are 1200 children's names on this memorial, children who were sent away from this camp straight to Auschwitz. None survived.

Eva then walked us through the barracks buildings and into the crematorium. Yes, this camp had one, they all did, but that is because, while people died here, it wasn't industrial scale murder but people were still cremated when they died. She explained to us how many people were in one room, their living conditions, including hygiene facilities such as they were and the work they were forced to do.

This was an amazing experience and much more moving and emotional than initially thought it would be. We are so happy Eva and Sara started this company so we could take this tour and spend the day with Eva, and learn.

If you are in Amsterdam, take this tour. You won't be sorry.

My son and I joined this small tour with my little dog, Butter, and I can honestly say it was an iconic experience that we will always remember. We were joined by 3 other guests and our tour guide Eva. We started our journey with a pretty ride from the city through the countryside and a ferry ride to Texel. The ferry is only 20 minutes but the boat is very large, modern and stylish. Next my son and I enjoyed a lovely one hour horseback trail ride while the others went off to explore the coast. Eva even took care of Butter during our ride! After our ride we all went together to a very pretty little village with high end shops and cafes. We all enjoyed a delicious lunch together and then had a while to explore and shop. Getting to know the others on this small group tour added to the enjoyment! Later we all went to a beautiful lighthouse and an amazing beach. Eva was a great guide sharing just the right amount of info throughout the journey and we all had many laughs! She was able to help us out with some extra layers for my son who was a bit cold and a towel so Butter could play in the water at the beach. Sarah was helpful throughout the planning and booking process. Overall A+. Highly Recommend!

Leonie was our guide for our tour to Kasteel De Haar and we had such a great time! The team was very accommodating and made changes to make the experience better for us.

Additionally, they provided us with a “cheat sheet” with tips and recommendations for Amsterdam. We had one of our best meals there based on their sheet/guide!

Overall, we highly recommend Dutch Tours if you’re looking to book one of their tours! 🙂
