This hotel took "Dutch hotel" to a whole new low. You’re expected to pay weeks or even months in advance, and worst of all—it’s non-refundable. Once they have your money, they clearly couldn’t care less about your comfort
The experience was downright mean-spirited. They don’t even provide the absolute basics—no shampoo, no hand soap, no towel, no hairdryer, and not even toilet paper. Yes, you read that right: not even toilet paper.
The bed was tiny and uncomfortable. I spent the night trying not to fall off, and woke up each morning feeling like I was hit by a truck. On top of it all, we even had to put the bed cover on ourselves.
For the price you're paying, you deserve so much better.
Word of advice: Avoid Dutch hotels like this one at all costs.
Edit:
Regardless of whether it’s called a hotel or an apartment, toilet paper and basic hygiene items are standard expectations in any form of paid accommodation. Being told we could borrow towels for an extra fee only reinforces the impression that the service is more stingy than budget-friendly.
On top of that, the bed was extremely small and uncomfortable—I spent the night trying not to fall off, and woke up each morning feeling sore and unrested. For what we paid, we expected at least a decent night's sleep.
While I appreciate the suggestion to contact you directly next time, these issues go beyond communication. Guests should not have to chase after basic necessities or assemble their own bedding.
This experience was disappointing, and I hope others are made aware of what to realistically expect before booking.
